There is a lot more to the selection of a handrail than the material is has been crafted from. Although this is important, you should keep in mind that there are also a number of styles to choose from.
“The style of the handrail can make or break the appearance of your staircase design, so be sure to choose carefully”.
We have a number of options to choose from, including:
No 14 (our most popular handrail style, which resembles a loaf of bread and provides a natural hand grip)
No 7 (similar to the No 14 except that there are two protruding bumps at the top and bottom with the narrower bit in the middle)
60mm Round (contrary to its name, this style is not perfectly round; it has a flat bottom for connecting to the balustrade)
Rectangle (this style is a little chunkier than the others and the top edges have been rounded off)
Round Stainless Steel (it is perfectly round with a diameter of 50mm)
Square Stainless Steel (it is 40mm x 40mm and has rounded off top and bottom edges)
Gowling Stairs crafts a range of handrail styles for all areas of Melbourne and wider Victoria. Some of the suburbs we service include: Balwyn, Glen Waverley, Doncaster, Camberwell, Hawthorn, Kew, Caulfield, Bentleigh, Brighton and Toorak.
