Spotted Gum

Spotted Gum is a species of hardwood that originates from a region of coastal New South Wales that stretches right through to Maryborough in Queensland. Its appearance can vary from a very light coffee brown through to a dark brown in colour, with the possibility of a reddish tinge. The timber typically features an attractive wavy grain and stunning colour palatte.

In terms of staircases, Spotted Gum is an extremely durable material that is suitable for use in all components (including treads, stringers, risers, handrails, balustrading and posts). It is also suitable for staircases that need to be fire rated.
